Snorkeling in Sicily

We went diving and snorkeling above the resting place of several unused Greek pillars that sank here thousands of years ago. It was less than a mile from shore and only 20 feet or so below the surface. You can see them below Alexis in this first photo.

I don't have a waterproof case for my main camera so the GoPro had to be my only camera for this trip. Honestly, it performed really well and I was pleasantly surprised with how well it handled the tough environment.

I have never swam in the Sea before. This was a whole new experience and it was completely worth it! The water was the perfect temperature and it was easy to float with all the salt content.

The colors that may be seen in the water and above it are fantastic as it is super clean. The greenish-blue tint is unreal!

This seaweed was super close to the surface and swimming above it was a weird feeling that I don't like, but it made for a cool abstract photo out of the GoPro!

There was everything from fish to beef to pork. I seriously loved every moment on board the boat as it rocked back and forth in the sea with gorgeous views in all directions.

A storm did start to roll in after a while forcing us to head back to port for the day. Despite the rough seas, slow boat, and sudden stormy end to it all I had a blast on this day trip!
